Toolbar

The Toolbar in Clario is as simple as any other toolbar. Through various icons, you are able to save workflows, save workflows as..., cut nodes, copy nodes, paste nodes, as well as run workflows, save runs as workflows, stop current runs, and display run summaries.

About

  • The About button returns the current version of Clario.

Save Workflow Button

  • The Save Workflow button is the disc icon with the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Save’.
  • This is only active for an open modified workflow and is used to save a workflow.

Save Workflow As... Button

  • The Save Workflow As... button is the disc icon with green plus and the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Save Workflow As...’.
  • This is only active for an open workflow and is used to create a copy of the current workflow.
  • Clicking on this button will pop up the ‘Workflow Name’ dialog
  • Enter new workflow name in the Workflow Name: text entry field
  • Clicking on the Save Workflow As... button will do the following: save a copy of the current workflow with the name entered, open the new workflow in a new workflow canvas tab, and make the new tab the current tab.

Cut Button

  • The Cut button is scissors icon and the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Cut (CTRL-X)’. This is only active for an open workflow that has a node selected, and is used to move the selected node to another workflow.
  • Clicking on the Cut button, or using the shortcut CTRL-X, removes the selected node from the current workflow, copies it to memory, and awaits the next use of the Paste button.

Copy Button

  • The Copy button is the papers icon and the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Copy (CTRL-C)’. This is only active for an open workflow that has a node selected, and is used to copy the selected node to the current or another workflow.
  • Clicking on the Copy button, or using the shortcut CTRL-C, copies the selected node to memory, and awaits the next use of the Paste button.

Paste Button

  • The Paste button is clipboard icon and the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Paste (CTRL-V)’. This is only active when there is an open workflow and a Cut or Copy has been used previously.
  • Clicking on the Paste button, or using the shortcut CTRL-V, pastes the cut/copied node to the current workflow. The pasted nodes are pre-selected, so immediately clicking on one of them allows you to drag them all to a new location on the canvas.

Run Workflow Button

  • The Run Workflow button is the play icon and the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Submit Workflow’.
  • This is only active for an open workflow and is used to submit a workflow for execution.
  • This button also automatically executes the save workflow functionality before submission.
  • The valid states of a submitted workflow are SUBMITTED, PREPARING, RUNNING, PUBLISHING, SUCCESS, FAILURE, and CANCELED which are shown on the bottom of the clario window.

Save Run As Workflow... Button

  • The Save Run As Workflow... button is active for an open run and is used to create a copy of the workflow as it existed when it was submitted for this open run.
  • Clicking on this button will pop up the ‘Workflow Name’ dialog
  • Enter new workflow name in the Workflow Name: text entry field
  • Clicking on the Save Run As Workflow... button will save a copy of the current workflow with the name entered and will open the new workflow in a new workflow canvas tab and make the new tab the current tab.

Stop Workflow Button

  • The Stop Workflow button is the red stop icon and the (mouse over) tool tip says ‘Stop Workflow’.
  • This is only active once the Run Workflow button has been clicked and the run is being processed.
  • Clicking on the Stop Workflow button will cancel the submitted run before completion. A pop-up message will appear to verify your desire to stop the workflow.

Export to Spreadsheet

  • The Export to Spreadsheet button is the paper and green arrow icon. It is used to export a results tab to a comma separated file.
  • A pop-up message will appear asking for a filename.

Display Run Summary Button

  • The Display Run Summary button is the paper and magnifying glass icon, and is active for an open run and is often used to troubleshoot errors encountered during a failed run, and discover the source of the problem.

Preferences

  • The Preferences button is the light switch icon, and brings up the dialog to change your email notification settings.

Notifications

  • The Notifications button is the exclamation icon, and brings up a dialog to view your current notifications.

Logout

  • Click the Logout button to logout of Clario. Caution! Any unsaved work will be lost. A pop-up message will appear to verify your desire to logout.
