Project Tree

Project Tree

The Clario Project Tree contains the available actions within each item. If an entry in the hierarchy has items below it, a plus [+] symbol will be present. Clicking on this [+] will expand the list of items on the next level below, turning the [+] symbol into a minus [-] symbol. To contract the list of items, click the [-].

The contents displayed in the Project Tree are filtered based on your security rights. The hierarchy of items in the Project Tree is:

• Top
  • Projects
    • Workflows
      • Runs
      • Results

Each entry in the Project Tree has the same format: a [+] or [-] symbol, an icon, and a description. Click the icon to see the popup menu, which provides a different set of actions specific to that level and item.

Project Tree Items

Items listed in the Project Tree include the following: Projects, Workflows, Runs, and Results.

A Project is a level in the Project Tree used to organize workflows. All data added to this project, in addition to data generated in these workflows, will be stored here. Workflows, Runs, and Results are described in-depth on the Perspectives page.

Popup Menu Actions

Clicking on an item in the Project Tree brings up one of three different popup menus: top level, project level, and workflow level.

Top Level

Top level menu allows:

• New Project - use this to add a new project to Clario.
• Delete Shared Files - use this to delete some/all files in the shared project data.

Project Level

Project level menu allows:

• New Workflow - use this to add a new workflow to the current project.
• Add Files From Shared - use this to move data from Shared Files to the current project files area.
• Copy Files to SFTP - use this to copy data from the selected project to the SFTP area.
• Copy Files to Shared - use this to copy data from the selected project to Shared Files.
• Delete Project Files - use this to remove data that has been previously uploaded to a project.
• Constants - use this to create and modify Project-level Constants accessible across all workflows in the project.
• Change Access - use this to grant or remove access for users within Clario for the selected project.
• Rename Project - use this to rename the selected project.
• Delete Project - use this to delete the selected project.

Shared Files

Files transferred from SFTP to Clario are stored in a Shared Files area. Each project also has its own files area. Files generated in workflows are stored in this project files area. It is necessary to add at least one file from Shared Files to this project files area. It is often useful to transfer one or more files from this project area to SFTP, say after a run has completed and new data was generated. Files in one project are not immediately available in another project; they must first be transferred to the Shared Files area, and then added to the destination project.

Of the three file transfer functions (Add Files From Shared, Copy Files to SFTP, Copy Files to Shared), only Add Files From Shared is a Move, in that it deletes the file that previously resided in Shared Files.

• Rename Workflow - use this to rename the selected workflow
• Delete Workflow - use this to delete the selected workflow
