Brief video explains how Revenue Attribution works and how it results in smarter budgeting decisions.
We are happy to announce Clario 3.2.0 was released Friday, May 25th.
Users wanted a simple way to systematically remove a subset of attributes from a file which meets, or fails to meet, certain criteria. These criteria are typically based on data quality or completeness measures, such as number of unique values and number of non-null values. While this functionality exists in the form of the Univariate node’s results, coupled with the Transform node, the process of identifying the offending attributes and excluding them in Transform can be tedious.
Enter the Screen Node. Screen presents a consistent interface, integrating the expression builder and expression code views you have grown accustomed to in the Transform and Filter nodes. Screen also comes configured with a set of our best practices criteria.
Constant support was added to key configuration items:
These improvements give you the power to create a Job that runs the same Stream workflow multiple times with different constant values. Previously you were required to edit multiple workflows directly. With Clario 3.2, complexity is reduced and time saved.
Filter / Transform / Screen:
A few new functions were added.
Prior Definition Value
The prior function allows for easy accumulations or aggregates over a set of rows, typical usage:
fn:N = <user calculation expr> + prior(<initial value>)
The first time prior is called it returns the initial value. Subsequent calls return the final calculated value of ‘fn’ from the prior row. For example, sum the values for the sales attribute:
total_sales:N = [sales] + prior(0)
Bound Value
The Bound Value function provides a more efficient way to construct a conditional to treat an attribute’s Lower or Upper range outliers. Simply select an attribute and then set Lower and/or Upper Bound values. If an attribute’s value falls outside the specified Bound it will be set to the value of the Bound.
Replace if Value is Null
The Replace if Value is Null function provides a more streamlined way to treat null values than constructing a Conditional. Simply select an attribute and then set the value to substitute if a null value is present.
File Management - Show a count of selected files:
File management dialogs allow the selection of multiple files (e.g. import files, delete files). When dealing with a large number of files it is helpful to know the number selected. This count is now displayed in the lower left corner of the dialog.
Constant Access
Prior to this release, constants were only accessible via a project’s tree menu. This proved cumbersome when attempting to find the project related to a Job or Workflow in a populous project tree. Constants are now accessible from a toolbar button. Jobs and Workflows provide full read/write access to constant values while Job or Workflow runs display the constant values set at the time of the run. This provides a centralized view of point in time constant values for a Run.
Link remove button hover no longer shows source label (CLARIO-1679)
The user friendly label was not displayed correctly, instead it displayed the index of the source the link is connected to.
Scroll to selected workflow in the Job Workflow node’s Workflow selection dialog (CLARIO-1683)
If you had previously selected a workflow in a Job Workflow node the selection was not displayed when you re-opened the workflow selector dialog.
Upgrade Flex SDK (CLARIO-1586)
Keeps us current with the Flex SDK’s bug fixes and enhancements.
Thank you!
